Michelle Blake is a professional historian and research assistant, and is passionate about communicating history. She assists people with research enquiries in a wide range of areas including Family History, Lands Title and archival searches. The projects she has assisted with include working with authors to add colour to their manuscripts and accessing archives as a record agent.
She is experienced in archival research, on-line and Trove searches and transcribing colonial handwriting. Michelle is knowledgeable in Tasmanian history and can provide context to the experience of the individual in historical events. She has assisted with the construction of databases for archival purposes and is passionate about access to information. Michelle enjoys organising events to provide networking opportunities for those wanting to work in the area of history, museums, archives and heritage with those that have industry experience.
As a member of the Professional Historians Association, Michelle is committed to professional development and is engaged in the history and heritage community.
